
Madhuri dixit was an Indian actress well-known for her role in the films 'Beta' "Saajan" and "Hum Aapke Hain Koun' . Her professional career started in the 1980s. She gained popularity through her role as a supporting actor in the movie Tezaab. Next, she appeared in the movie "Dil" where she shared the screen with Aamir Khan. Born to a middle-class household in Mumbai and began learning dance at an early age. When she was a child she attempted acting but failed for a few years. She was successful, and soon went on to become a leading actor in the Indian film industry. After her marriage was over, she took a break but went back to the entertainment business. She also played a major role in the movie 'Gulaab Gang,' that focused on the struggles of Indian women. Dixit was nominated 15 times for Filmfare Awards. Eight of these awards she took home. She was also presented with the Padma Shri award, India's fourth highest civilian honour. She is also famous for her involvement in social causes.
