
Leona Louise Lewis, born on 3 April 1985. She is an actress an activist, singer and actress from Britain. Born in Islington, a part of the London Borough of Islington, she studied at The BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology in Croydon. Lewis could gain national attention when she won the third season of The X Factor in the year 2006. She also received an PS1 million recording contract with Syco Music. The single she won and was a cover Kelly Clarkson's song "A Moment like This", reached 50,000 downloads in 30 minutes and was ranked at the top of the charts for 4 weeks. Clive Davis's label, J Records, signed Lewis to a 5-album deal with J Records in the United States. Lewis continued her success with Spirit the first studio album. It sold 10x platinum accredited in the UK. Spirit became the fourth most-sold album in 2000, and it was also one of the best-selling UK albums. Spirit is, as per Official Charts Company is the highest-seller debut album by a female artist. Its first single, "Bleeding Love", had a run of seven weeks at the top of the charts at 1 in the UK and was the best-selling single in 2007. It was also the most-sold single in 2008, and Lewis earned her Billboard Award for the Best New Artist. In 2009, she released her second studio album, Echo, and recorded the theme track, "I See You" from the movie Avatar. Lewis has also released "Collide," a joint collaboration with Swedish DJ Avicii. In 2011 , she also released Hurt which was the extended version from her first EP. Glassheart (2012) is Lewis' third studio album. The album was Lewis' first venture into electronic dubstep and music. Her Glassheart Tour was in the mid-year of 2013, and she started recording material to record her first Christmas album. Christmas, With Love came out later that year. Its opening track, "One More Sleep" was a top three hit on the charts in the UK. In the wake of this chart, Lewis become the first British female solo artist to make it into the top five with eight singles. This was more than Olivia Newton John's record of seven.
