Linda Edna Cardellini is the daughter of Lorraine (Hernan), a mother, and Wayne David Cardellini (a father) who is who is a businessman. After her success in the role of Lady Rose MacClare on the period drama Downton Abbey from 2012-2015, her first breakthrough role was on the film of the same name, Cinderella in 2015. James then played the role of the role of Countess Natasha Rostova, in the television version of War & Peace, in 2016 and starred several films. They include the action film Baby Driver (2017) and the period dramas Darkest Hour (2017) and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (2018 and 2021) as well as the musicals Mamma Mia! We Go Back Again (2018) as well as Yesterday (2019). The portrayal she gave of Pamela Anderson for the biographical show Pam & Tommy in 2022 won her the Golden Globes and Primetime Emmy Awards.
