Awkwafina

American musician and actor Awkwafina began her career with hilarious hip-hop tracks that addressed sexual identity and race with a the most outrageous comedy perspective prior to increasing her presence in Hollywood. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese and Korean parents from Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was her first instrument. Her classical, jazz and hip-hop studies began when she was in her teens. At college, she was studying the field of women's studies and journalism. In addition, she spent some time learning Mandarin in Beijing. It wasn't until she began focusing on music until she finished her studies. Her song My Vag which was her response to the Mickey Avalon song My Dick, became a huge hit across the Internet and eventually appeared on her debut album Yellow Ranger. Some other hits that went viral included queef, a body positive track, and the witty NYC Bitchecity tour. The single that debuted was is directly linked to the album The Awkwafinas Guide to NYC, her travel guide for 2015. Alongside being a published author and a singer, she was also a professional as a performer. In addition to early shows like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in movies such as Neighbors and Storks. In 2018 she landed her first major role in a number of high-profile films like Dude Ocean's 8, and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP came out in June.
